Money to burn... But on what? Any new purchases?

I do not need anything, but I want a new non-reciprocating charging handle SCAR-17. I had forgotten about an ammo box in the garage, and found a pile of 7.62x51. I have an AR-10 in .308, but it is heavy and the SCAR is not DI. Much easier to keep clean, and less mass to carry.

Lobo - based on your OP, I would opt for the SP-101 depending on the caliber. I have a 4" GP-100 in .357 that I find very easy to use, even with heavy .357 reloads. The 6" had too much weight in the nose and it was always wanting to sag on me.

I have no business buying any firearms right now, building a house in spring, new baby, etc... but that didn't stop me from eyeballing a Mossberg 940 JM Pro today. I'm really doing some mental gymnastics trying to justify buying it and trying to envision myself busting clays and whacking plates with it but I have a full stable of good shotguns to play with, no semi's though.

Then the agony of saying well if I'm looking at the 940, maybe I should be looking at a 1301, etc.... on and on it goes....

I think I'm gonna buy a gun soon, but it's gonna be a new .22lr rifle earmarked for my new baby girl.... that's definitely going to happen. Maybe another. 22lr handgun to go with (22/45) :D I also need a couple cases 9mm ammo and 12ga ammo. My two favorite things to shoot these past few years and can never have enough ammo. Those are my purchase ambitions as of now as far as gun stuff goes

Too many cool guns out there.

The Beretta on your list would be sweet!

I am not sure what gun(s) may strike my fancy next. I have pretty much any reasonable base covered, so the next one or two will be something that is an “I always wanted one of those”type buy.

Stay safe.
Sounds like something that I’d write. I keep thinking about thinning the collection so I don’t have to leave it to my wife when I’m gone. The problem is, I really don’t know where to start. Maybe keep the NFA toys, a few non-nfa uppers and a few pistols. And I’d still have everything covered.

However I do have an itch for a Ruger Precision 22wrm … and I have several hundred rounds of ammo waiting for it.

I have had what I wanted for years and stopped buying a decade ago in favor of other "toys". I am sort of getting the urge.
Agree with the S&W 10mm. Hard to turn down today's price on the thing,
Wouldn't mind a compact high capacity 9mm setup with optics. 365 maybe.

I'm tempted to pick up something in 10mm or a stubbier 357, probably won't and just go pick up the PX4 Compact I've looked over a couple of times lately.

What can you shoot without having to drive for more than 20 minutes?

I would like a Sharps buffalo gun, but long distance ranges are not close to me. So, not a reasonable choice for me.

99% of my shooting these days is .22 LR and .38 Special revolvers at an indoor range 15 minutes away, two or three times a week. 20 rounds of .22 and 20 rounds of .38, slow fire, focusing on trigger control and small groups. Once a month doing self defense drills on a silhouette target. A few rounds frequently beats a lot of ammunition burned occasionally, IMO. So buy what you can shoot often without using up a lot of gasoline and time.

The other possibility is buying a percussion revolver and mastering the art of blackpowder guns. They can be frustrating, but they can provide a real sense of accomplishment when you get them working properly.

I’ve got the older 5.25” Springfield 10mm and the newer 4,5” OSP Elite. 1911’s are a different animal but the XDm is, IMO, the best of the two reliable choices (Springfield or Glock) for plunging into 10mm based on barrel quality, handling/ergos, and factory sights. They’re great shooters and ship with excellent metal 15rd mags.

I also have a 3” SP101 that I shot yesterday. Can recommend this one highly also- really comes down to the barrel lengths you already have covered.

OP, add some fine classic S&W and Colts to your safe! 1858 Remington.44 is always fun! A 9 Shot LeMat with a 20g in the middle for confederate fun!

Recently purchased a Browning 92 in 44 mag, new 870 Remington, Sig 227, Kimber K6S, and Marlin 336. Got my eye on a Sako in 6.5. Been trading, buying and selling. Expensive hobbie I guess. For each new I have been getting rid of two.
I have the B92 in 357.

I just got my Single Six in 32 H&R Mag a couple weeks ago. Been looking for one in good shape for a price I could stomach for about 3 years. Now that I have that out of the way not sure what to look for. I really am a little lost. Thinking maybe a nice .22 rifle ? I have a half dozen .22s but nothing I would call "nice". That, or fine a rough 10/22 and build one ? Also wanted a bolt .223 Varmint rifle for a long time.
Who knows what the next year will bring but nothing burning as strong as the last one was. At least not yet...

Ha! "Beware of the man with only one golf club because he probably knows how to use it!" ;)
LOL That saying about the guy with only one gun always struck me as most likely being approximately backwards. I'd say it's more likely, "Beware the man with only one gun because odds are he has little-to-no experience with guns, and may be a ND waiting to happen." :)

I have been wanting a hunting rifle in 308 for some time. I thought I was going to buy another Tikka but others keep catching my eye. I saw a new 700 for a good price. Everyone I have owned has been sub MOA and reliable. I also thought about an AR, and recently have though about a Browning BAR. They make the Safari 2 and BAr 3. Can 't decide. Plus I am thinking about another CZ .22.
