More guns seen at airports! I forgot I had it!

You can kill thousands with a car or van as was seen in the first trade center bombings. There are limits to what any person or group of people can stop from happening. There will always be a way to do terrorist deeds, the gun should not be singled out as the means by which we measure these deeds,
If there were people on those planes with guns, who knows what could have occurred, you can't tell me it would have been worse than what it was.
At least there would have been a chance of stopping them.
I am not saying that a terrorist can't get a permit, but that goes with anything. Creating an equal footing discourages this kind of behavior, as no one would be able to "plan" something , not knowing if they would be stopped by others in the midst of carrying out their purpose.
It's just the same as being any place else. Bank, Wal-Mart, plane, any place can be a target, with armed trained people with weapons, it minimizes the threat, not the other way around.

Yes, but that way plane incidents would happen more often, Of course 9/11 would not have happened, but there would have been many plane shootings, and there people would have been killed. I know the bad guys will not stand a chance, but they will probably take some lives with them. And if there are shootings like that more often, It is about the same as 9/11 but over a longer period of time.

The existing ban on not allowing firearms to be carried on airplanes on 9/11/01 did not prevent the death of almost 3,700 innocent people did it?

The passengers in the planes that hit the World Trade Center rode helplessly to their deaths.

The passengers in Flight 93 died fighting.

Armed passengers on Flight 93 might have saved them.

Your argument against guns on airplanes are the same as the worn out arguments against concealed carry laws.
Flight 93 was probably shot down so it wouldn't hit the white house.

Not a moment of forgetfulness, but a story of intent:

One of my brothers, while serving in the Air Force, was a C-130 Loadmaster who flew lots of missions "you never talked about", security clearance and all. While on leave all military members are, of course, subject to recall. However, regardless of where he went in the United States and whatever his mode of transportation was, if he was recalled he was to immediately fly back and from the moment of recall he was to travel as if on one of his missions.

Which meant he had to carry his pistol on his person through the airport(s).

He used to roll his eyes when telling me this because, he said, it never failed...he'd show his ID and paperwork to carry, which was SUPPOSED to allow him to discretely bypass metal detectors and such, or have them turn off the metal detectors when he went through them...and immediately all kinds of security would be called out, a great big fuss made and, by the time everything was straightened out and he boarded everybody on the plane would know he was carrying.

;)
