I recently started a thread about how my new-ish kimber won't feed if i release the slide via slide stop release. Now I just noticed that i have a case of hammer follow. About 1 out of 3 times when i rack the slide the hammer follows and stops at the half cock position. I WAS in love with this Kimber, my first 1911, but now I'm not so sure. I've owned over 20 pistols anywhere from $350+$1200 dollar ones and never had problems until the Kimber. Any ideas why its doing this or what i can do to fix it?

BTW this is easily the most accurate pistol I've ever fired and haven't had any sort of malfunction or jam during live fire through 600 WWB rounds and 20 Critical Defense rounds.

Increase the tension on the center leg of the sear spring. Requires partial detail strip. Might not be a bad idea to increase the tension a bit on the left leg while you're at it.

Be careful when bending the leg. Support it above the junction of the leg and the bottom portion of the spring, or it'll snap like a twig.

Expect an increase in trigger pull resistance.
