At the beginning of April DoubleTap sold its 500,000rd. I want to say thanks with a 10% discount to all members of TheHighRoad on all products EXCEPT the 180gr. FMJ Match loading. This special will begin on Tax Day April 15, 2004 and end on April 22, 2004. Don't worry, all of the orders that were placed on the 13th or the 14th received the discount, too. I wouldn't want to punish the guys that ordered early, right?
Thanks guys (and gals),
-Mike

I guess its about time for me to order even though I don't have a 10mm yet.

How do we go about getting the THR discount?

Thank you . . . .

People and companies like this really make me wish I had the money for a Glock 29 or a three inch S&W 610 . . . maybe one day. And by the way DoubleTap when that day comes I will remember you and buy some serious self defense ammo from you.

McNett,
I've been meaning to order a few boxes of your 135gr Nosler for quite some time now -- this just gives me an excuse to do so sooner than later. Do you want me to use your 800 number, or do you have a local number that you want me to use?

The toll free number is fine. We don't get charged for local calls, so it's free either way.

The Double Tap 10mm loads I've personally fired to date have all been high quality, high performance factory ammunition.

This includes the 135gn Nosler HP, both 200gn loads, the unique 230gn "Equalizer" load, the 165gn & 180gn Golden Saber HPs, and most recently the 180gn Gold Dot HP load.

DT uses top of the line components, including the best bullets currently made for a given application (hunting, self-defense, etc). These loads were quite accurate, in some instances exceptionally accurate, even when fired from different 10mm "platforms" - i.e., a Glock 20, Delta Elite and S&W 1006. (My S&W 1076 showed particular fondness for the 180gn Gold Dot HPs @ 1300fps/675fpe).

In my view MCNETT's company produces the finest "full power" 10mm ammunition available in the U.S. today.

An early Range Report (w/ pics) on the 165gn/180gn GSHPs and the pistols used can be found here:

Mike,

Congratulations on hitting the Half Million mark! Great job! Now that you have the 10mm line well in hand, when can we expect to see you branch out a little bit? I, for one, would dearly love to see you try your hand at the .38 Super and 9X23. Whatcha say? Is there any hope?

We are currently working on four calibers to be introduced in May. I have considered the 9X23, and we may do a run toward the end of the summer.

I emailed my drivers license and ccw permit to DT a few hours ago.
I'm gonna call in the morning to order some 155 Gold Dots for my babies. :D

Dear Mike:

You are the undisputed "king of the 10mm cartridge!" (BTW, this makes you very, very, cool!) :D

All hail Mike McNett! the undisputed "King of the 10mm Auto cartridge loaders!"

Wow! there are a lot of you guys out there, thanks for the business! I wanted to let everyone who hasn't ordered already know that the sale ends on Thursday the 22nd.
-Mike

If I hadn't just ordered 500 rounds of the FMJ Match, which came today (Thanks, Mike), I'd order some stuff. Unfortunately, I've already had to dip into my Vegas fund. Oh well, there always next month...or the month after.

My 155gr Gold Dot loads are on the way. :)

This is the same bullet I like in .40s&w, so I'm gonna give it a try in 10mm. Of course... it will be pushing 750 ft/lb in 10mm. :D

Now I just have to locate the gun, and I'll be good to go... Search is STILL ongoing for a 1006.

Moparmike,
If you fax me your DL on your 21st birthday, I will give you the discount then! Good enough?

The four calibers will be: 9X25 Dillon, .357 Magnum, .357 Sig, and the .40SW!
