Mosin Accuracy

Rondog, Your Tikka barreled 91/30 is .3095, factory spec. Tikka was making excellent barrels then and still does.

Every Finn Mosin I have ever bought from an importer/distributor had Excellent barrels. I firmly belive that barrel condition was the judging factor after the war when Soviet terms limited the size of the Soumi Army and what and how many arms they could keep. Still They kept their independence when the rest of eastern Europe had the iron curtain dropped between them and the west.

Ive had Mosins of all flavors with the pristine barrels and "if only this rfile could talk" type wear on the outside, steel burrs of srapnel filed down, burns, re-repaired stocks, ect.

If the barrel on a Finn Mosin is junk, it happened in the states. Alotta guys had no clue about corrosive ammo's effect in the late 80's-90's because the Chinese ammo was the only imported in large amounts that was. Post soviet Europe flooded us and alot guy had hard lessons to learn, but if your a rifleman, cleaning your gun after shooting it is routine, fun, simple and proper.
