Mosin Nagant 91/30 rear sight--Military AK-47

I just bought a Mosin Nagant 91/30 and I also bought the scope mount kit and I can't remove the pin to take out the rear sight. Any suggestions of what I can try to remove it with?

Also, is it worthed to buy a Military AK-47 for $450? It looks in good condition but the seller says that it hasn't been shot since they put some work to it.

Never done it myself (warning #1), but I've seen an article (warning #2) at surplusrifle.com (I think), where a guy used a C clamp to put some downward pressure at the sight hinge in order to work the pin loose.

I won't comment on the AK as I personally think they are all over priced right now (but then, they likely will not come down again in the next 3 years, if ever.)
