Quick and easy. I have an Mosin M91 made in 1896. Will a newer bayonet made for the WWII era M91/30 fit an older M91? I found several M91/30 bayonets for sale for around 30 bucks but I havent found any correct bayonets for the M91. Not going for historical accuracy just something to hang on the wall.

as I understand it they will not fit... different styles... also... sorry but I have to make a jab at your sig...

had mine beat...84...
then again the only people that ever used that phrase in the navy were the grunts on the flight deck...

Yes, the 91/30 bayonets are reverse-compatible, but vary in tolerances so might not fit without some minor tweaking.

Yeah good thing about those mosins with a bayonet. The overall length makes a pretty effective spear with some impressive reach. I dont know the arsenal though, never got to looking it up. Its in good shape for its age. My dad bought it back in the mid 80's as one of those "kit" rifles that you assemble yourself for $59.95 and he gave it to me a few years ago because it was taking up space in his safe. Crazy thing is this Mosin has ALL matching serial numbers. Correct me if I'm wrong but I have heard matching serial's are somewhat uncommon for older rifles and even more so on those kit rifles.
