Does anyone make a shell shrinker for the Mosin Nagant's 7.62x54R chamber?
I would think one in .32 ACP or even a .32 S&W based cartridge would be fairly easy to turn out.
I wonder if it might not be possible to make one that uses both the .32 ACP and the .32 S&W based shells ( up to and including the new Ruger .327) as many have found they can shoot the .32 ACP appearently safely frm some older COlt revolvers.
Might appeal to the Mosin Survivalists and those wishting to shoot a mosin lesspainfully and at ranges not appropriate for a full sized Mosin round. GOtta wonder what a 98 grain RN lead .32 S&W Long would be like out of a Mosin.....atleast something would be left of a rabbit if you shot one.
.30 Carbine shell shrinker might give some interesting options to someone that handloads in that caliber.
Of course some folks have been whining for a 7.62x25 mm carbine.... how about a shell shrinker for the mosin for that pistol cartridge? Might even be fun to try launching something like Lee's 155 grain Ruski bullet in the x25 case like a "whisper cartridge" if one reloads.
.....of course there was a Petterson Device made for the Mosin Nagant M91....
THinking about other things along that line as well.
Thoughts?
Directions to someone already making them?
