Mossberg 18" Barrel for Remington 870?

I would like to buy an 18" barrel for my Remington 870 Express shotgun. Mossberg makes a barrel for the 870 that is considerably less expensive than the Remington barrel ($30-$50).

Anyone have one of these? Is the fit and finish comparable or would I be better off spending more for the Remington?

I did a search but couldn't find a definitive answer.

I've seen them. Nothing wrong with them - it's an economy barrel, with a low-grade matte finish, but perfectly functional.

I own a Mossberg slug barrel for an 870.
Works just fine.

I've got one for shooting steel shot through an older 870. Just as Preacherman described.
