I like that at least Mossberg is doing somthing different from the crowd. I also like that all their stuff is mean and scary looking to the liberals, whether practical or not.

I may not buy "That" edition (although it could have it's place :neener:)
I would be very interested if Mossberg came out with other calibers and finishes.

To each their own,,,,, ;)

Lateck,

That thing is horrible...I simply can't believe they would release it. The only good I could see coming from this rifle is if the stock is durable and comfortable to shoot. I could see putting one on a truck/airplane gun where space is limited or using it with kids to adjust the length of pull.

I dont get the m4 style collapsable stocks. The only reason they are on ar-15s is becuase of the buffer tube. They are not ergonomic, comfortable, dont give a good cheeck weld, and dont give you nearly as short of a OAL as a folder. But they do make sense if you have a buffer tube!

Why you would want one on a shotgun or lever gun or anything that doesnt require one would need to be explained to me!

I personal hate them my ar-15s wear a2 stocls

:scrutiny:*Sigh* At first I thought this was photoshopped and little bit of googling says its for real. I showed it to my little brother (16), he asked "Where's the wood?". I think I've taught him well:D

The only thing I like about that rifle is the sights, but scrap everything else please, I can't imagine trying to operate that thing with a vertical foregrip. Seems like a nightmare.

Well........it IS sort of ahhhhhh "unusual looking"

Not sure that i want one...Mossberg has come up with several {hmmmm how to say this..} 'different' designs recently.

At least, it shows Mossberg does think outside the box

Here's my question, does anybody know of anyone that has actually bought one of Mossberg's abortions be it Load Hocker, Rolling Blunder, the Leatherface limited edition shotgun or the .22 for the super-wimp and now this thing that is coming out? Yeah, I''ve seen them for sale at gun shows right next to the beanie-babies, beef jerky and ninja swords but I have yet to see anybody that has actually put their money down on any of this crap. Probably for the best though since seriously, I will be laughing in the face of the first owner I see actually carrying one of these things.

While I'll admit that this gun probably isn't for me... what's the huge difference between hanging a bunch of crap and rails on a levergun vs. an AR pattern rifle? Especially for the poor sods who live in "less free" areas.

At least it doesn't have an ugly logo pressed into the side of the receiver.

Looks like a Bravo Company catalog vomited on the rape baby produced by the sexual assault of a DoubleStar on a Winchester.

If they were at all serious, there would be a way to mount a Aimpoint/Eotech or the like on it. Also needs a factory forward mounting point for a tactikewel sling and a threaded muzzle for real lamer-gamer-zombie tamer cred.

I'm not a guy that goes into gun stores very often and usually only when I have a specific item that I need... That said, if I walk into any gun store and find something like this being offered for sale there -- I'd just turn around and leave. How could you take anyone seriously that thought something like that was a good idea (or would sell, or was worth selling)?

I used to tell my younger offiicers to make a point of reading popular gun magazines and rags like Soldier of Fortune so that they'd have a good idea of what was avaiable to the local idiots.... Sorry to see the trend has not only continued but gotten worse.

Fail.

I like the concept of a weather proof, modernized 30/30. But why can't we just have park or stainless with a synthetic stock and a peep with fiber optic front sight? Heck, make the for-end like one of those magpul moe for-ends that you can bolt a rail section on to if you need it, and otherwise it stays relatively sleek.

is it me or are the first two posts in this thread the lyrics to a Queen Song?

oh...and that gun is FUGLY, with a capital F.

I would think any market they might have had for a tactical rifle with 30-30 or 45-70 ballistics would have vanished with the birth of the 300 BLK and 458 SOCOM.

meh Id at least have made it a folding stock.

Holy cow, I did not see that 22.... that is nuts. That is the Ar50 brake lol. Messed up for sure. I wonder how they are spinning the reasoning for that one? For those heavy 40g loads maybe?
