Mossberg 500 18" - Need to ad neew stock?

Mossberg 500 18"

Would like to change out my wood stock for a very light synthetic or similar. How to I change all the wood out?

Take the recoil pad off, and take the stock bolt out.

It will fall apart at that point.

The forearm wood is held on the action slide by the big rounded nut on the front.
Unscrew it and pull the wood off.
