Ok, so for anyone who knows Mossberg 500's... I'm in the process of assembling my Franken500 and have run into a bit of an odd situation. The Cartridge Interruptor Assembly #43 on the Numrich site:

I've purchased one and it looks like the one in this picture taken from eBay (hopefully the link will work)
yet, I have contacted Numrich Arms and there are 2 variations, both are listed as the same part by them. The other variation looks like the one in this photo from ebay as well:
So, the top one is a bit longer, with a 3/8" foot at the rear, while the second example does not have this part and has a 1/8" lip that starts 11/16" in from the rear of the assembly.
Has anyone seen or run into this difference on this part before, and if so, what purpose does it serve? Is this just an old-style vs new-style, and which is which? Thoughts?
