I have a Mossberg 500 with a pistol grip handle and the thing kicks like Bruce Lee on steroids :what: . Is there any way to reduce the felt recoil without putting on a regular stock, or using reduced recoil loads?

I'm highly impressed with my friend's CopStock on his 500 12ga. We shot all afternoon a while back and didn't phase me.

Two things though, his is the older version and it kept hitting my thumb knuckle. I understand they've fixed that issue, but ask to be sure. Also the wire stock isn't that comfortable and you may want to look at the SpecOps stock if that would work.

Do what I did with my (full stock) 590. Buy a bunch of 3" magnum rounds, and shoot them. When you run out, buy more, shoot them too.

That afternoon, when I got home, a big bruise had started to form on my left shoulder. So I put it on ice and sat on the couch the rest of the day watching TV, and that shoulder bothered me the for a few days at work.

After that afternoon, nothing seemed to have much recoil. Kinda feels like a deep tissue massage...

Remove the pistol grip stock...NOW! :cuss:

They are dumb and serve no practical purpose.

Unless, of course, you job requires you to blow deadbolts off of crack house doors.
