I just got a brand new mossberg 500 yesterday, and took it home and cleaned every nook and cranny on the gun. I took it out today to shoot some clays, and put about 175 rounds through it. On 2 occasions it dropped a shell out of the magazine when i fired the gun with 2 different brands of ammo. It seemed to only do it when i would shoot 2 clays at a time, cycling the gun quickly. Other than that It cycles and shoots great, but i cant figure out why the shell released from the magazine when i shot it? I have tried searching the answer, but i cant really find any information on this particular issue (only double feeding and failing to feed). I would send it to mossberg, but i currently have a 3 week old remington 870 that is on its way back to the factory for repair .
Thank you
Jake
