"In my opinion the greatest aftermarket stock on the market. I love mine, since I've installed it I've shot 200 rounds of high brass 7 1/2 shot at clays in 1 afternoon. The only reason I stopped was that i was out of shells, my shoulder wasn't even close to sore"

I do that with my target gun as well - but my gun FITS and I shoot normal target loads

Effective home, bear, bad-guy, etc., defense is 95% about YOU, your mindset, and your ability to run the gun, and 5% about having a gun set up well enough to execute your skills with.
It constantly amazes me that folks think that bolting overpriced doodads on to their weapons will magically make them "better shooters".

The best tactical accessory is a shotgun/rifle/handgun course (as appropriate), as it will put some thoughts in one's head, regardless of their mindset.

What was the price of your target gun that "FITS" you?

Given price points comparing a $80 stock on a $300 870, $250 Mossberg or a $200 maverick to a $1000 gun, is similar to comparing a Honda civic to a Porsche....they both are fine for what you pay for but refinement is nice however it is paid for.

I am curious what weapon mounted light is capable pf 800 lumens. Can you provide a make and model? I have a Surefire fore end I just upgraded from it's original 80 lumen head to a 200 lumen head.

How about run time at 800 lumens? Weight?

A light capable of that output would seem to be large and heavy enough to make the weapon very muzzle heavy.

Can you elaborate?
Carefully re-read his first post - MG Pocket Rocket w/ SST50 LED. http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=229333

No, problem. Had to really slow down to find it myself - there's a bunch of, um, info shall we say in that first post.

I missed that. thanks
There's a bunch out there but i like the pocket rocket cause it runs off of 1 18650 rechargeable battery so its compact, about the size of a standard tactical light, but it has 3 modes and a SST-50 emitter which lets you crank up the power on it up to 800 lumens. I like it because its compact, I was gonna get the MG X-thrower which throws much further cause of the head, but the compactness is nice, i don't want a big ass thing hangin off the side of my gun. Especially cause this light will probably see use on my .45-70 too

Wow, I just got myself (a while back) a Mossberg 500 18.5 inch 12 guage. 590's were not available yet for civilians (very familiar with the 590 model). I took it as is and put many many many rounds through it. It got much better with use. I added a heat sheald and a sling. Yes it gets hot enough to burn you, just like the 590. It will really burn you when you use the sling without the heat shield! No I do not have a problem with the sling snagging on anything at all, keep the sling adjusted to the minimum that is needed. It runs so slick I can reload a round one handed holding the stock ( not the forgrip like you see in the movies) a quick downward motion followed with a quick upward motion or a back motion followed by a quick forward motion will operate the slide with enough force to reload a round in it. And never touch the forgrip. my issued 590 would do that to. Tactical yes, simple yes, flash light no, they can see where you are at too. get some night optics if you realy want tactical.
