Anybody have any experience with this little 22? Don't look bad for 229$.

I test fired a few rounds through one at the LGS. I was not impressed. I was hoping for something closer to an AR style .22 but aside from looks, this one falls short. My biggest complaint was the magazine release. I'm not fond of guns that need three hands to remove the magazine. To drop the mag, you have to pull back the bolt with one hand (no bolt hold open) and press the mag release button with your other hand, and have your buddy pull the mag free. They are very tight and do not fall free by any stretch of the imagination.

The fit and finish was acceptable, but nothing to write home about. Sights were okay. Accuracy was acceptable at 50 yards with bulk ammo.

If I really wanted an AR22, I'd save up for something better, or spend the $200 on a .22 conversion kit for the AR I already have.

My kid likes it. He's 8, and manages mag swaps without problems, so an adult should be able to do it I'd think:rolleyes:.

My gripe is that its a barreled action wrapped in an AR shell. There is no field stripping for cleaning, it's just blatant disassembly of the entire rifle.

Accuracy was better than many stock 10/22s I've fired.

Reliability is on par with my Sig 522, the most reliable .22 I've ever had the pleasure of owning. Had many FTE with 10/22s, only a few with uber cheap Remington ammo out of the 715T.

It's actually a good gun. Rough in some areas, but good nonetheless.:)
