I recieved my new Mossberg 930 "Tactical" with a standard straight stock, which is fine by me. I know that these shotguns like stout loads to break in, and that isn't a problem. It has the funky "breacher" barrel, and I have a 2 round nordic mag extension on it. I like how it feels.
I have the 835, and was wondering if anyone had had any experience with the 930 from walmart?

I don't own one personally but I believe the general consensus is that they're pretty darn good autoloaders. A lot of people (sometimes myself) like to bash Mossberg, especially when they venture outside of what they do best, which is simple, reliable shotguns for the working man.

Take her for a spin and let us know what you think! It never hurts to have more information available to future potential buyers and all too often it's only the unhappy customers that decide to speak up.

930, will get back to you all

Right now, here, even decent shotgun ammo is being limited, if its even in stock. I have a few boxes of kent turkey load, of various sizes, and a couple dozen boxes of military buck, and slugs, so once I get together some good ammo, so as to not deplete my stash on hand, I will go out and break her in. I might even give the guys a laugh and try some skeet shooting with it lol.
I have 2 of the Mossberg 590's, I had to convert both to pistol grip telestocks from ATI since my arms aren't quite long enough to be comfortable. Both of the 590's are identical except for one having the classic bead sight and the other having ghost ring rifle style sights. I love both of them. I simply love simple and robust weapons.
I do like the Winchester SX3 and Binelli(SP?) M3 and M4 shotguns too. The argo system is great, and my friends MR-1 rifle with the argo system is fantastic. I would use one any day. My friend got one for $869 when the normally $600 DPMS rifle hit the $1000 mark, so it was a steal.

My 930 Rythm model was a big hit at the 3 gun shoot a couple of weeks ago. We had 4 shooters use it for every stage and a couple of people that tried it out on individual stages. It ran like a champ with zero problems, shoots where you aim and cycles quick enough for the fastest shooters.

I shot 1 oz. bird shot loads, about 4 boxes, for the break in and honestly it didn't need a break in. Also cleaning it after the shoot I was amazed at how little fouling was present, it ran very clean.
