Lightning Strikes With Mossberg's New Lightning Bolt Action™ (LBA™) Trigger System

New Adjustable Trigger Sets Standard For Accuracy
North Haven, Connecticut -- For 90 years Mossberg has been a leader in the design and manufacturing of firearms in the hunting, shooting, military and law enforcement community. This year marks another great year for Mossberg as they introduce the new Lightning Bolt Action (LBA) Trigger System for their centerfire bolt action rifles - enhancing the performance and accuracy while keeping safety in the forefront of its development.

With its distinctive skeletonized lightning bolt trigger blade, the Lightning Bolt Action Trigger System offers the best in form and functionality, giving the shooter the flexibility of adjusting the trigger pull without the need of taking their rifle to a gunsmith. A simple twist of a standard screwdriver enables the LBA trigger to adjust from 2 to 7lbs. The design of the LBA trigger's sear engagement offers a truly crisp, creep-free trigger, optimizing accuracy. The LBA trigger blade blocks the sear from releasing the striker unless the blade is fully depressed, even at the lightest adjustment setting. The trigger assembly is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum then hard-coat anodized to military specifications, preventing corrosion and minimizing wear over time.

With Mossberg's extensive line of 4x4™ and 100ATR® bolt action rifles, you can expect to find the new LBA Trigger System in over 100 models in 2009. The LBA Trigger System is taking Mossberg's line of firearms to the next level in accuracy and performance.

Looks like Mossberg is the latest to jump on the "Accu-trigger" band wagon....

I wonder if they will offer it as an aftermarket item for the rifles already out there???

Success breeds imitation

besides, theres very few original ideas in firearms. just modifications, interpretations and variances in quality

Great another AccuGlock copy! Hopefully this trigger will be similar to savages in that the glock blade can be removed leaving a nice crisp easily adjustable single stage trigger without a completely superfluous lawyer pleasing "safety" device

The Accu-Trigger, Savage Arms way of saying that they don't trust you not to shoot yourself if they gave you a good trigger.

I'm one of the biggest savage fanboys out there but I can't stand the accuglock trigger. I much prefer the old three screw triggers

Thanks Gaston Glock:rolleyes:

I've always wondered what the point of the 'insert' on the trigger was. On a Glock, it's a safety. Does it serve the same purpose on the rifles that have them? My dad just purchased a Savage with the Accu-Trigger. Nice rifle, just not sure what the point of the blade thing on the trigger is. Can't say it's a bad feel necessarily, just seems pointless.

Krochus, quit beatin around the bush and tell us how you feel, please! Hey, good trigger with goofy useless mechanism beats a bad trigger with OR without goofy useless mechanism.
