Hey guys, I have a Maverick 88, and the 14" LOP is just a bit too long for me. Yes I am short. Anyway, I am looking for a synthetic stock with a 13" LOP. Not looking for a pistol grip, a cheek pad, 6-position stock, or something that would break the bank. Just a standard, 12 gauge, 13" LOP synthetic shotgun stock for a Mossy 500/Mav 88. Any pointers?

some recent ideas that have been thru here, fill the stock with epoxy and cut away. Get a wood stock and cut away. (I went the knoxx stock because it did provide 6 positions, not just one and only)

Got to ebay buy a500 stock in wood cut to fit. Been told they would swap but check witk somebody else first. Place stock in crook of elbow then measure from middle of trigger finger to curve of triiger, that will tell you how much to cut off. If you know any one with lop gauge that will work even better. You can take your time and redo but pad to fit. All you do is make sure your screw holes. line up, if they dont use one or the other for 1 hole plug other hole if needed then drill small pilot hole mount pad trace around wood remove pad and trim. I usally use bench grinder for most of trim, belt sander and vise will do just fine. Then finish on gun with file. 1 little hint I round and angle down the top corner a little to help in mounting gun when hunting{no hanging on shirt or coat}. Good Luck and God Bless HAPPY HOLIDAYS
