Hello!
I'm new to THR and to the community of firearms. I will be picking up my first firearm on wednesday, the Mav.88. I've already shot my buddy's 590 multiple times, so I know that the 14" LOP with a limbsaver is a tad bit too long for me to comfortably cycle quickly. I recently found a Mossberg 500c Bantam wood stock for sale at a great price (my little secret! But you probably already know where) and do not want to pass it up.
My concern is fitment. The seller does say that it will fit a 12 ga with "no noticable gap". Does anyone have any experience swapping out their stock 88/500/590 stock with a 500c bantam stock? The13" LOP is what's selling it to me, as I plan to put a Limbsaver on it as well. Should I "pull the trigger" (how many times have you guys read this?) on this stock, or save up and buy the Hogue 12"LOP overmold? Remember though, WOOD STOCK! you can never go wrong with wood.
Any response is appreciated. I hope to give and take positive and useful information to this forum in the future, and thanks in advanced!
Kevin
