Most accurate handgun you've ever fired?

Those are consistently accurate guns. Sure, you may find an exceptional gun of other makes and models, but the above guns have been the most accurate among several examples of the same model of guns.

Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull 9" barrel with the hammer back, Hornady ammo. 85 yards at a milk jug. Good enough for deer huntin I'd say.

For me it'd be the Unique DES that I used at the range when I was learning to shoot a pistol. Certainly more accurate than I am!

I shot a ground hog at a lasered 159 yards with an accurized 1911 in 9mm (Leupold scope). I was pretty happy with the accuracy. (I did have several "walk on" sighter shots over a 3 day period, but finally got zero'd and got him!)

My Ruger Old Army with a home cast .457 round ball over 25 grains of FFFG.
I often refer to this piece as my "squirrel rifle".
From rest at 25 yards, 6 shots = 1 ragged hole.

My Ruger MKIII 22/45 and my SIG X-5 are superbly accurate. My Glock 32 is a close second behind those 2.

I got a new Ruger P97 several years ago(when they were still being produced).
It was, and still is, one of the absolute most accurate handguns I have ever owned....
Who says you have to spend big $$$ to get a quality firearm???

I can't really say. I mean, when using target handloads, all of my full sized pistols are as accurate as I am, and I don't have a fixed rest to test them for accuracy in controlled conditions.

I'd say the USP45 Tactical .45, the Glock 17L 9mm, and the PX4 .40 are all equally accurate in my hands with the right ammunition.

For me it's

1. My Colt Woodsman, built in 1938. I routinely shoot 1 3/4" 10-round at 25 yards from a modified Weaver grip. I suspect it would do a lot better from a Ransom Rest.

2. My Colt Officers Model Target, which will give the Woodsman a run for its money.

3. My Colt M357 (same as the Python, without the cosmetics.) This gun will shoot cloverleafs at 25 yards with my handloads.

4. My Kimber Custom Classic (MK I) -- a bit less accurate than the other three, but not enough to notice.

Rock river arms 6" 1911 in .45acp. After app 17,000 rds it still grouped .9" at 50yds from a ransom rest. Jim p
