Mount an AK / SVD Scope on an AR15?

Greetings folks, I've run some searches on the forums (and on the 'net and posted this on arf.com) and can't find info on this, so here goes.

I have a POSP 4x24T illuminated scope (AA) with SVD mount, and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a mount that would allow this to be setup on an AR? What I'm seeing in my mind is a picatinny attachment that drops off to the left side and has the same integral side mount as an AK or SVD which would allow you to put one of these scopes on a flat-top AR15.

I'm sure it would look... well.... odd but every time I think of something that would be neat for an AR-15/M16/M4 it seems someone has already made it, I just can't find it on the internet.

do you have accsess to a drill press, and have you ever drilled and tapped some holes?

if so, you could buy one of these from brownells.com....

just the base piece. (for 35.00$) its flat on top, and has holes in it.

then buy one of these...

and drill it so that you could get some screws through it into the modular AR riser. the whole thing could then be mounted to the AR, and then the scope and AK mounts onto the AK side of the mount.

make sence? i think that it would be a good project. if i had a scope like this i would try to make one. sounds like a cool idea.
