mount for my socom 16

I have a socom 16 and will be adding an Aim point M3. Any tips for mounting hardware? Would like it to be removable and reinstall easily. I've heard of some products but am now ready and need some advice and photos if poss.

Get one of the Larue Tactical throw lever mounts. There are none better. It's easily removable, so you can switch to iron sights if you wish. You will want some sort of cheek piece, otherwise getting a proper cheek weld with an optics equipped M1A will be virtually impossible unless you have an oblong alien shaped head.

LaRue is great, but the ARMS is not bad.

My advice is to get rid of the factory barrel mount and replace it with an ultimak. The ultimak is much lower, and you can use the iron sights with the aimpoint mounted.
