Howdy all. I'll soon own an original S&W 629-2 Mountain Revolver (1989 manuf.).
When looking for grips, am I looking for regular N-frame roundbutt? Seems I read somewhere that some S&W's used odd combinations (K-frame on an L-frame, etc.,.)?
TIA, Ray

N-Frame round butt.

Yes, S&W K & L frame grips are all the same size, and either square butt, or round butt.
The .460/.500 X-frame is also K&L size.

But the N-Frame wasn't.

rcmodel: "The .460/.500 X-frame is also K&L size."

Does that mean that, if I can ever scrape together enough pennies for a Model 500, round butt K frame magna stocks would fit?

I've got a set of Altamont bonded ivories on mine. While they're more comfortable than Hogue's, I need to order a set of Herrett's Ropers for it. I've got some Ahrends' Retro Targets on my 24-3 and they're too narrow for my tastes.
