Mounting a bipod on a FAL

That's what I was hoping to hear :D. Next question. What is a good height of bipod for prone shooting? These come in 6"-9" and 9"-13" and a larger size. Which one do people normally use for prone shooting?

It depends both on our physiology and the height of your scope.

Set the rifle up with a pack or sandbags at the proper height when you're prone. Then measure the height of your rifle from the ground.

Weeelllll, I got the bipod and adapter in today and tried mounting it the the handguards of my FAL. :( no such luck. The post of the adapter sticks out too far so the bipod doesn't touch the handguards. I tried making wood spacers but they were not stable enough. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Actually I figured it out. I filed the edges of the adapter post flat to make it narrower so it will pull farther down into the bipod. Works great now :) thanks for your help everybody :)

Here it is with the bipod attached. Finally got some pictures of it.
