I want to put a Nikon P223 3x9 40mm one inch tube on my Colt 6920 AR15- Any suggestions for a mount? Will the front sight come into the picture when I look through the scope? I don't want to remove the front sight if I don't have to. I would like a one piece mount. Thanks for the feedback

No, you won't see the front sight, due to focal length. It's much like the reason you don't notice your nose (but for differing reasons).

You can't really co-witness a 3-9x scope with irons. You might faintly make out the front sight at low magnification, but otherwise you won't see it.

Burris makes an inexpensive but popular mount, the P.E.P.R. The ARMS mounts and the LaRue Mounts are exceptional quality, but a bit more expensive.

Nikon makes one, but I'm unfamiliar with the quality.

ADM makes a mount a bit Cheaper than the above two and of exceptional quality and that can be had for 160-180 dollar range.
