anybody know what kind of a mount I can use to mount a Nikon Prostaff 3x9 scope on this gun? I want a one piece. I bought the Nikon M223 mount but it will not go on my rail. Trying not to go with a two piece mount. Thanks

What do you mean it did not go on your rail? The 6920 should have a standard 1913 Picatinny rail. The M223 mount should fit a standard 1913 Picatinny rail.

Is this a problem with the objective bell being too large?

If that mount won't fit your RAIL, either the mount or your rail is out of spec. Thats a petty common AR-15 mount that typically attaches to a 1913 rail without any issues whatsoever.

Sounds like someones not clamping their mount down tight enough....

It certainly almost has to fit the Colt rail.
If the carry handle sight came off, the mount will go on.

Did you loosen all three clamp screws?

At that point it should just hook over the rail.
Make sure the screws are aligned with the corresponding cross-slots in the rail.
Then tighten the clamp screws.
