Got a set of mounts for my "new" 52 Winchester (1926) and the hole spacing is wrong. Even if they were correct, the scope would be so far forward it would have to have a LER scope. Anyone know if there was a set for the original 52, other than target blocks?
Thinking I might have to do some fabricating to put the rings five or so inches back rather than on the barrel. Drilling the action is out.
Original target scopes with mount adjustments start around $500 and go through the roof.
First trials will be with the 94 year old sights and my 76 year old eyes.
Sorting ammo by rim thickness while I'm quarantined waiting for more tests.
