next year I will relocate to rhode island for 8 or 9 months. My understanding of RI gun law is fairly relaxed for the north east. When I read through the laws online I did not find registration requirements or magazine limits. I won't take everything up there but I would like to take:

bolt action rifle
10/22
glock 35
I'd like to be able to participate in some uspsa matches and my kids are getting more interested in shooting the 22lr.

the problem is the move. FL to RI i will have travel through the heart of the anti freedom states, Maryland, NY, CT. . . .

can i legally use a moving company to transport through those states? growing up we moved from SC to Montana and the moving company packed everything up. Gun laws were not discussed or worried about at the time. I know I can mail them to myself the firearms from an FFL to an FFL and pick them up that way, I am trying to figure out the best way to take a few firearms with me (and then get them out) without breaking laws or risking breaking laws.
