I went shooting with my nephew yesterday and he has these to pistols. Man I couldn’t hit the side of the proverbial barn with them. I shot the 45 off of a rest and could put them pretty much through one hole at 7 yards but anything past that it looked like a shotgun. The 9mm was a bit better but not by much.
He has only been shooting handguns for a couple of months so he isn’t that good with them. However I let him shoot my various revolvers and was much better with them.
Was shooting Blazer 124 9mm and Blazer 240 45. I don’t think I’ve ever shot a more uncomfortable gun than those two. Glad I did as I have been looking to get a 45 Tupperware and was considering one but not now. Maybe a Glock 21 as I’ve shot them and had very good results with it.

If the 2.0 has the same interchangeable backstraps like the 1.0 ( :D ), that could make a difference if the size for your hand wasn't on.

You were shooting off a rest at 7 and it was good, but were you shooting off the bench past 7 as well?

If EVERYTHING else was the same, I'd guess that maybe your sights are difficult to read on that target. Were you having difficulty seeing the point of aim at the greater distances?

The Version 1.0 M&P 9's have had a history of some inconsistent accuracy throughout their production life, but the 2.0 Versions have been reported to be better. The M&P 45's all have had pretty good accuracy reputations.

Were your revolvers shot in single action mode?

Yup I was shooting off a pistol rest on a bench. The grip on those pistols were just horrible for my hand. I guess they can be changed.
They are the first handgun I’ve ever shot that I couldn’t group decent within a couple mags. I also found the web of my hand was getting chewed up from the stippling on the back strap.
I seemed to have difficulties with those sights but with Glock sights I’m ok even though they are similar.
I haven’t shot anything other than revolvers last couple years other than a couple 1911 I have and my sons Glocks so it’s most likely me.
I shoot my S&W’s mostly in single action and of course my SBH is single action.
