read this in a news report about her capture by the iraqis, she was a POW that was rescued the other day.

"Lynch shot several Iraqi soldiers during the firefight and kept firing until she ran out of ammunition even after suffering several gunshot wounds."

Well, someone's obviously lying.

This quote from the yahoo article is unusual:

The family said they are not sure when Jessica Lynch will be flown back to the United States. They decided against a trip to Germany.

"We want that to be on Jessi's terms," her father said. "When she is ready, I'm sure she will let us know and we'll be on the way."

If your daughter was rescued by special mission from Iraq, how long would it be before you went to see her?

Maybe they didn't have a great family life. Not every family is The Osbornes. Oh wait....

I can easily see an overbearing father saying something like "Girls don't join the Army! You'll get captured and raped!"

Maybe she doesn't want to hear the I Told Ya So's....

Could be any number of reasons they don't want to see her, or she doesn't want to see them. Could be good reasons. I don't think I'd want my parents to see me all shot up...I'd rather come home in my Class A with some shiney metals instead.

Yeah, but was she shot up or not? I'm not doubting her bravery and strength, I'd just like to know what really happened. If that were my daughter I'd be there no matter what.

Many have not.

In no way do I condone such action by the Iraqi's. Don't forget that the Iraqi's have/had a professional rapist on staff. I doubt that the professional was involved, but what do you expect from "soldiers" of such a corrupt regime? We all know that rape is a possibility.

My comment is Non PC for sure, but I just said what everyone else is thinking, however tasteless.
