I picked up some MTM 25 auto storage boxes---they are also marked 32 long
When you put a 25 auto cartridge in a slot in the box--it goes down so low that you need long fingernails to get it out.
anybody got any idea what to place in the slot to boost up the cartridge to make it come out easily.
A 9MM brass pounded into the slot works perfect BUT would make a very expensive storage box

The simplest solution for slip-top boxes is the one I have used for 50 years.
Run the bottom and lid through a band or table saw and cut them off the right length.
I make 20-round handgun boxes out of bottleneck rifle boxes the same way.

Snap lid boxes are another matter.

Go buy a wood dowel rod that press fits in the holes and saw 1/8" spacers off of it and press then in.

It could cost as much as a $buck.98 for enough dowel rod to do 5+ boxes.

Washers?
No.
Not at the price of washers anymore!

Easiest yet...cigarette butts. If your a smoker just tuck about 1/4 of one down in the holes. It will cut down on noise when your carrying it too.

Cig butts stink to high heaven--since I quit I can't stand the smell.
I did smoke for about 65 years---now the wife still smokes & it bothers me when I try to fall asleep
NO CIG BUTTS

I do not modify the boxes I simply put the bullets in primer side down. That way when I am shooting I can simply cover the box with my hand and dump out how many bullets I want as I reload.

I was going to suggest hot glue in the bottom of each hole, but I like the dowel rod dodge better.....
