Any law that can be abused will be abused by the government.

The federal government is above the law and feels it can do anything it wishes.

Well, actually no. The Federal Government is not above the law as much as some in the government may think they are or wish they were.

The problem is the process is too slow, the enforcers reluctant politics flavors the spread.

The FBI and ATFE have testified under oath that they are not following federal law (regarding search and seizure, regarding central registration of gun records, etc.) and will continue to defy the law. Nothing happens, the USAs and Congress and the media all look the other way. To me this is ne plus ultra evidence of being above the law.
