I am tempted to order I variety of Mil-surp rifles at once to get a better shipping and transfer fee. I have not gotten my C&R yet but am planning to soon.

Do you have to fill out the extra paperwork on multiple rifles or is that just handguns?
Will it throw up any flags?
Should I just wait for the C&R in a few months?

Handguns only, rifles should be ok.

Have you sent in your C&R paperwork yet? Or is the "few months" 21st birthday related? If age isn't a factor you may want to just send in your application. I got my C&R (a couple of years ago) back in 17 days after mailing it in. My $0.02 fwiw.

Send in for your C&R license- its a pretty painless procedure. I just received mine today, though it took about 9 weeks from the day I mailed out my application to get it in.

Ordered my C&R today so its the time for ATF to mail it then me fill it out and get back to them. I'd guess 10-12 weeks total time. I'll probably just end up waiting.

Thanks for the info though.

Hmm, that brings up a question though. If you purchase multiple C&R handguns on your C&R license, do you have to report yourself?

Anyone know? I'll have to dig through my literature...

do you have to report yourself?
Nope. FFL transfers do not count. The multiple purchase form is sent in by a dealer when he sells two or more handguns to the same non-licensee during 5 consecutive business days. The buyer doesn't do any special paperwork.
