Lately I have not had the best luck in regards to magazines, and even a very nice Para Ord 45ACP. Don't really need any drum mag's but just because I'm old as dirt don't mean I don't like Cool effect. Few weeks back I picked up a Pro-Mag 50 rd mag for my Ruger 10-22 which was a total disaster, went back to the dual 25rd sticks and no problem. About a week or so back I actually paid cash money for a 75 rd drum for my AK. After a while I saw the return address and it was from Murphy, or so I thought. Took it out today and at first it was working very decent and the Murphy stuck his head up just to say Hi. After fiddling with it and my thin skin left blood every where my first thoughts were to just trash it and forget about anything other than my 30rd mags. After I cleaned up all the blood (take so many blood thinners don't take much to make a mess) I actually whupped up on Murphy. I had gone back to You Tube to make sure I was loading properly. Turns out that this was so simple I was almost embarrassed about the solution, Simply forgot to wind the darn thing up more than one round. Can't complain and it sure felt good to beat Murphy at his own game at least once. With luck like this I might go ahead and buy a new Silverado P/U that I've been looking at.

I bought a few Promag M1A magazines because they were available at the time. They work for me but leave a lot to be desired. I bought two pairs of them and both pairs came in the same packaging but looked different. From spot welds to markings they looked like completely different companies built them. It was during the frenzy a while back and I called them about it. I was worried they were Chinese bootleg magazines but they said they were making production changes to keep up with demand. Smelled like horse hockey to me. I figure they were importing and repackaging although I have no evidence of this, just my suspicion.
