I've been thinking about shooting IDPA and was wondering if anyone had shot with these folks? I looked at the schedules around the area and they seem to be my best bet as far as their event times/ my work schedule.

Looking at their web site, they did have THR as one of the forum sites they recommend. That's a plus.

I know a couple guys from that area but have yet to go to their sanctioned match. No reason not to check it out.

I haven't shot with them but have traveled from Alabama to Manchester with the Middle Tennessee Shooting Club a whole lot.

I was looking at mid tn shooters first but i have to work Sundays. They are a little closer for me though. I"m in Murfreesboro TN. which is just up I-24.
If my work schedule changes i would go there for sure.

I have shot many times at MCTS. They have great matches. Very organized and always fun.
I also shoot at Mid TN shooters in Manchester. Same thing.
I shoot at Manchester more because it's closer. You won't be disappointed by either.

The club is extremly welcoming of new shooters and we have a group of new shooters at every match. We have three IDPA Master level shooters (Team MCTS) consisting of myself and two others whose job is to make sure you feel welcome, shoot safely and have a good time. Our responsibility is to help new and experienced shooters better understand IDPA and to improve your shooting skills. IDPA is a fun sport that will make you a better shooter. That sounds great Rick. I've just got to get a couple more things together and i'll be good to go.

I've printed out the new shooters info packet and have been going over it. I should be good on ammo but its good to know it will be available should i need it.
