steven, I'm going to check that out. As of yesterday, I was just going to stick with the Vortex scope, but the ordeal with this PST is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I shipped it to them on the 4th and they got it on the 6th. I called yesterday to get a tracking number on the return shipment and was informed that my scope was still in their shop being or about to be repaired.

Maybe, I'm expecting too much. In any case, I now have to buy a scope if I'm going to shoot either or both of the matches this weekend. If I get it today from a place that ships quickly, I could have it overnighted, so some furious shopping is going on.

I was actually looking at the Sightron. I know more than a few guys shooting benchrest with Sightrons and that has to say something. Unfortunately, I'm still stuck in court playing the hurry up and wait game. I can see it now. I'm going to wind up having to take a ride to Cabelas an hour away, if I'm going to be ready for the match tonight.

I have to keep reminding myself that patience is a virtue, but geez, I really want to shoot my .22.

I did glance at the PF scopes, but I didn't see anything in the magnification range that I'm interested in. I really like the 24X for shooting the matches.

I have to agree with you regarding the magnification, something in the 16-24x range is really helpful for seeing those tiny holes when primarily using the rifle for target work, whereas for hunting I prefer much less (a fixed 4x works fine for me). I don't think you'll be disappointed with a Sightron if you can find one...really good optics for the money.
