You know the 2 is 1 thing... well, got two Bersa 22’s. Not exact same guns but most parts are interchangeable, including mags.
The one with black plastic grips is a plain, all steel Bersa 23. This gun has no mag retention lever, you just put a fresh magazine, pull back and let fly forward. Nice.
With a steel frame and slide, its the father of the newer Thunder 22, the other gun with wooden grips.
The Thunder 22 has a much lighter alloy frame. This particular gun has been customized a bit by its previous owner and I frankly think this is is the coolest 22 I’ve ever seen.
It has a two tone finish on the slide alone. The written part of the slide, which would touch the holster, has a mirror chrome finish, while the rest of the slide has some sort of black chrome.
The trigger’s face has also been polished like a mirror, along with a nice trigger action job, for better accuracy and DA shooting.
The front sight had a little hole made through it, with a big red dot plastic insert which comes into sight beautifully fast, much better than the original 3 white dot.
There’s a black acrylic mag well, for faster reloads and a better overall grip of the gun. Mates well with the magazine’s plastic extension.
The hammer has a cut through the middle. Only for looks but it looks ok.
Finally, the crown over the “Bersa” logo.
Yes, it is cheesy, but I love it. With all the added stuff, the little gun is certainly king among 22s.
