Lawsuits are a frontal assault, with bayonets fixed.

Bureacracies LOVE that ****.

It gives them more reason to exist.

Parents calling because they are worried about their kids?

Bureacracies HATE that ****.

Guys, think like a protestor.

What can we do to make the bureaucr... er... have the bureacracy want to change?

it now appears that there is statute law here in Idaho that does NOT allow any govt entity to override law without statute approval to do so (meaning if the legislature doesn't pass a law saying the U of I can limit CCW then the U of I can not limit it.

Mail a copy certified to the U prez, tell him you intend to abide by the law, not his ILLEGAL policy in contradiction of it, and that anyone disarming you will be arrested on a variety of charges--illegal search and seizure, violation of rights, assault (if they lay a hand on you against your wishes), etc.

Then don't carry, so if they DO harass you, you are TOTALLY in the right:evil:

Then call in the attack lawyers.

I am awaiting an official paper certified reply from the AG's office. then it's the next step. Public dissemination or straight to the Pres? I am leaning towards a polite appointment with the President of the University and requesting a general e-mail to staff and students informing them of the change of policy.

I am also considering "requesting" some sort of official sanction against whomever made the decision to extend the ban.

And we had another armed robbery on campus last week it seems. at knife point in a bathroom.

the one before was gun and knife.

I don't know what the Campus Police are like in VT, but here at WVU, our Campus Police are actual police officers. They go through the same 17-week training as city and county officers, but they are limited in jurisdiction to the campus only (but can give backup to other agencies). They carry S&W Sigmas, pepper spray, batons, and other various police equipment.

The response time is pretty good for them, if someone hits the red button on one of the many emergency poles throughout the campus, they usually get there within two minutes. However, even in West Virginia, we're not allowed to carry on campus.

of course we will try the same thing over and over agian. Just cause it didn't work for them doesn't mean it wont work for us!
