Impressive. Have been looking for a decent pinned barrel Model 19 for awhile now. The ones I have found the condition never matches the price.
Yes I think a round butt snub 19 with that deep rich bluing is the best looking Smith ever made.

Yeah, maybe that's why I've got 3 of them.
I'm well aware of the 3" bl models (my research says that only 2,500 were made)
Nice collection. Congrats.
Are you sure those 2,500 aren't 3" Model 66s (the stainless version of the M19)? The 3" M66 is rare, but 3" M19s are exceedingly rare - AFAIK, the few made were special ordered (by the FBI?), and my impression is that far fewer than 2,500 were made. I've seen numerous 3" M66 in person and on GunBroker over the years, but I only ever saw a photo of one 3" M19, and it was here on THR, posted by the son of an FBI agent who special ordered it from S&W. If I'm right, then, I wouldn't count on rounding out your M19 collection with a 3"-er anytime soon.
Darn it. Oh well. I guess I can always chase after the various Model 66s now.Nice collection. Congrats.
