I just received my slide back from MOD1 Firearms (www.mod1firearms.com) and wanted to show off their work a bit. I'm very impressed with Pike and MOD1 as they did an outstanding job on the machining and Cerakote work. They added front serrations to the slide and then Cerakoted it and the slide stop lever graphite black. Prior to sending it in I rounded off the corners (dehorned) of the slide stop lever. I've also replaced the stock 6.5lb striker spring with a 5lb Wolff striker spring. This made the trigger pull a little lighter, making for an even more buttery smooth trigger pull. I added rubber Talon grips as well, which have been great in adding a super "sticky" purchase while handling and firing the weapon.

I carry this firearm everyday where it is legal to do so. I carry it appendix, inside the waistband (AIWB) and love it. I wear slimmer, fitted clothing and this firearm rarely prints at all, if ever. As far as holsters go, I've settled on the kydex AIWB holster from PJ Holster (http://pjholster.com/) and it's been perfect. I've also just recently ordered a mag carrier from PJ but have yet to receive it.

As far as the CM9's performance goes, it has been absolutely flawless through about 1,000 rounds of various types of 9mm ammo. I have loved learning to shoot it over the past 6 months and getting used to the long, smooth trigger pull. I trust this firearm with my life and would recommend the Kahr CM9 to anyone looking for a VERY concealable, sub-compact carry gun. There is quite a bit of negative press regarding Kahr, so I figured I'd share my completely positive experience.

Nice. A local guy was trying to sell his CM9 with a botched cerakote job. I like the look of a black slide, but had to pass on the botched job. Yours looks like it was done right. They make a black diamond PM9 with a black slide, too. I used to own and carry a PM40 and they're fine guns. I will likely pick up a CM9 sometime soon.

It cost me about 140 total. Still less than a PM9 based on the deal I got on the firearm itself, though I get your point and it did cross my mind. Decided to just go for it anyway.

I filed down and sand blasted the slide stop lever before I sent it in.

I carry a PM9 daily for about 3 years now, replaced several other small auto's with it, many have been spoken about here. I have been through at least 18-20 small guns in, 380, 9, 38 and 40 over the past 25 years, and this one works best for me. I still keep several others in reserve including 4, 45's in sizes from the XDS on up to fullsize 1911's. But the PM9 goes anyplace I go, weather I carry a larger gun or just that one. I also use the 7 round and 6,- 6 round mags, and never had a feeding problem with any of them. Mine has night sights and I may put a laser on it, but am trying not to just to keep it small enough to pocket carry.
Guns are subjective, I think that 8 rounds of 9mm is as low as I would go, of course with 2 spare mags. They shoot straight, and the only problem I see is these old eyes, but if I can see it, I can hit it, and I still can see well enough to type this without glasses if necessary. The xds is another winner that you can pocket carry, and 6 rounds of 45 is better than most anything else with 2, extended mags in reserve. It's like having a small 1911 that weighs less and is smaller.

Like the look of the custom work done on your CM9 and you didn't break the bank doing it. Thanks for the links.
