My Daughter shot in her first match over the weekend.

She did very well, There were 28 shooters total. She placed 20th!!!
It was so much fun having here there and shooting, she has been asking for a few months now when she gets to shoot in the match, She has come with me to a few just to watch.

I set her up with my CZ 452 scout that I shot all last year, Cut down a stock to fit her, and away she went.

She has been has come to a few match's with me, and also shot with me quite a bit on the side out side of the match with other guys that also shoot in the match. She has been given the nick name "Little Annie"

The guy that runs the match asked me for some input on the medals for 2014 before he ordered them, and I asked that he make this one for my daughter.

awesome! i remember taking my daughter to her first match. i enjoyed that more than any match i've shot

Outstanding!!! There is no substitute for time well spent with your kids, whether its at the range or wherever.

My daughter has been shooting with me for years and has just now decided that she wants to step it up to going to matches with me.

That is fantastic! Excellent work, clayne, and nice shooting to the both of you.

Congratulations also. We shoot with a group that has 14 and 16 year old girls in it. In .22 rifle I can hang with the 14 year old. The 16 year old beats me every time. The running joke is " I wish I could shoot like a girl."
I love seeing youth participating in the shooting sports as they are the future for sure.

Nice!
When my kids got into shooting, I quickly discovered that I got more joy from coaching/teaching/watching them shoot than doing it myself. When they became hooked on running the Dillon loading machines, I knew it was time to really stock up on components.

Congrats on a great young shooter,
don't underestimate the importance of getting young and/or female interested in our sport, just to get rid of the 'old - male - cowboy image.

Girls tend to shoot better then boys, because they :
- don't want to show off as much
- listen to instructions
- concentrate better

In my family, the youngest and only girl (aged 14) outshoots father and brothers.

Keep up the good work

Our sport of shooting can only survive if the young ones participate. You have gone a long way in keeping our love of shooting alive!

NOTHING can replace the smile on your daughter's face, well done Sir! You do realize you better will all the 1st place metals as you can now because soon she will be right on your tail and then take you!!! (another proud day no doubt!)

That is so cool it is past words.....but I think I am part bear.....not going to play while there is snow on the ground or I can see my breath.

And y'all thought auto insurance for young folks was expensive…..wait until you start buying (and you will!) more rifles, sidearms, shotguns, gear and accessories, loading equipment, ammo, etc., etc.,……and we LOVE it!

That's really great to see. I the opportunity to teach an 8yo boy how to shoot a rifle and it was really rewarding. He loved knocking down the chicken and pig silhouettes!

Actually its rewarding to take *anyone* who doesn't shoot shooting. I even taught the admin at my work how to shoot a pistol.

Good for you and congrats! Looks like you've got a real winner of a daughter there!
