OK so I have struggled with this friggin thing for an hour now. It's a russian 1954 tula laminate stock SKS. Whenever I go to empty loaded rounds out of the mag the whole damn assembly falls out on me. I know you rock the assembly into place with the trigger group out, then slide the pin on the front of the trigger assembly into place and this locks the back of the mag in. HOWEVER: the trigger assembly appears to have mad slop to it in these pins. They appear to be way too thin on the inside so as not to catch my mag, allowing the back end and thereafter the front end to fall right our. Suggestions? I could really use the help. I paid $590 for this rifle (steep I know but good Russians are hard to come by and other than this mag issue it's in unissued condition) I will be incredibly pissed if it is broken.

I got it. Turns out the triggers plate retention spring was sideways so that little bit alone seems to have been enough to allow play and for the mag to drop out. Man that was finicky!
