I'm glad you enjoyed your first action pistol experience. I shoot USPSA only occasionally but I'm an IDPA regular. The only thing I'd recommend you watch is your shirt bunching around your holster. I don't like to see shooters trying to holster a gun with their shirt in the way. Shoot safe and have a good time and give IDPA a try also.

It's always enjoyable, that's for sure; like creekerdoug says, concentrate on safety first, and speed will come. One of the BEST ways to get better is to become a Range Officer, since you'll see up close and personal what works and what doesn't, what's fast and what's slow, and you'll see the way the consistently fastest shooters approach a stage, by minimizing unnecessary movement and by calling their shots as they're fired, instead of waiting to see if the popper or plate falls.

yeah the shirt got in the way. but fat guy in a tucked in shirt....lol i hope the speed comes, it was alot of fun. i cant wait to do it next month. -chris

In that 2nd video, the guys first round in each of the two mags sounded a lot louder. Also looked like more smoke outside the barrel. Or am I hearing things? Would there be an advantage to having a full power first round then download the rest of the mag??

i think its where hes pointing compared to where my speaker is on my camera. also the vids were taken with a dig camera sony cyber shot, so not the best quality but desent for a pocket camera. also after it goes silent the blast may affect the speaker, making the others sound quieter. but i dont know. -chris
