hey guys,
this is my first go around with blue wonder gun blue and i would like some feed back on how good or bad i have done. personaly i like it so im not trying to get a pat on the back but im trying to get a gage on my workman ship. plus a friend of mine on here wants to see some pic's of how well it works.

i only did the slide because thats were the wear was and i like the two tone look.

i striped the sides of the slide the old fashon way, 400 grit sand paper then stepped to 800 for a extra smooth surface. then i just followed the blue wonder instructions.
 
Great job!! I love that two tone look, also. Is the frame parkerizied? I'm considering something similar on one of my Hi Powers.
 
Try cold rust blueing it is done over a 3-5 day process and gives professional results available from brownells for $20, it gives a permanent long lasting even royal blue finish. No heating required, you only need to strip, polish and clean part with laquer thinner, let it rust overnight and then remove rust with 0000 steel wool, to reveal a beautifull royal blue finish this process is repeated 4-6 times until an even royal blue finsh is achieved, this is what a lot of small professional shops use for custom guns use and has been used for the last 100 yrs. before they came up with hot blue heated tanks.
