Last weekend I went to my first gunshow in quite a while, and low and behold I found myself a nice looking Walther G22. I'd seen them before, but with new money burning a whole in my pocket, I couldn't resist the green little bullpup.
Yesterday, I took the puppy out to teach my dad and his 1973 Remington Nylon 66 how to shoot. At first, before shooting it, the Walther's bolt was a little sticky, in that it wouldn't be all that willing to release/close after locking back. But it just needed to be shot, and that went away quickly.
I couldn't tell how accurate it was, because at 50 yards with iron(plastic)-sights, my aiming it's perfect. None the less I managed to put ~30+ rounds into a ~3"x5" area rather instinctively. It was the quietest rifle I've ever shot, making cute, almost suppressed sounds(lol, but ear muff probably go a long way). And the two stage ~3lb is much better than... well, everthing else I've shot.
Ironically, I seemed to group better with my dad's 66. The trigger just wasnt as fun. All in all its only down side also leads to it's allure; It's a bullpup(not conducive to righty->lefty handoffs). I'd say it's easily worth the $270 I spent(comes with a hard case, 2 mags). I could have gotten a cheaper one, but cheaper ones are boring.
Sorry about the lack of pics. What can it say; I was having too much fun shooting to think of it. Here's a factory one : Clicky
