Well Im in the market for a new tactical rifle, which will probably be an AK, that being said:
1. What AK should this be built on? I know I want a standard AK, one that all the gadgets and gizmos will fit. The price here is $600-$800. Im not really sure if stamed or milled would matter, but I would like to get a more accurate AK (I know accurate and AK don't go together a whole bunch )
I know an alternative would by the Rhob Arms XCR in x39. I already have an AK and would like the ammo & mags to be common between them.
2. The rail. Im pretty sure it would be a unimak rail, where to get it and whats the cost going on those things?
3. The stock. I know I want a side folder, one that wont interfere with the weapon firing when folded and wont interfere with a 75 rd drum.
4. Optics. This is the area where Im most tron. Im thinking either a S.P.O.T. scope http://spotscope.com/spot-superior-precision-optical-technologies.html
or just going with an Aimpoint if funds allow. I would like to somewhat co-witness is possible, but its not a priority.
If you guys can think of anything I left out or any alternatives, fell free to suggest away. The total price Im looking for is 1K to ~1300. I have funds for more, but that will cut into the next gun purchase. Im not trying to cut to many corners, just get a reliable go to gun.
