My C9 has been flawless with the original mag and another mag purchased at the same time through several thousand rounds. I purchsed a replacement mag and had multiple issues so I put that one in the "do not use" pile until I get around to looking at it. It joined several AR mags, AK mags and 10/22 mags that are also in need of work.
It is my truck gun and gets shot more than any other gun I own other than my .22s because I can pull over in my driveway and fire off 2 mags(17 rounds with +1) as fast as possible just for practice. It is acceptably accurate at 10-15 paces which is all I expect from any of my handguns. I don't foresee the need to shoot at 50 yards with a psitol and do not practice at that distance.
It is not pretty(butt ugly actually) and is way heavier than any gun with limited capacity should be. I have no problem with the trigger or recoil on this gun. I have fired the HP 45 on a few occasions and would not hesitate to buy one if i could find a good deal. I paid less than $100 for the C9. I also have the carbine in 9mm and it is a blast to shoot. I have never tried to shoot either of these guns from a rest. I hate to use the old cliche but "it is what it is". An inexpensive generally dependable firearm for people in need of SD/HD with limited funds.
