Good evening to all,
A few months ago I was able to pick up a Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS in CA. This is kind of hard to find but when I had the chance I jumped on it.
I am normally a 17 sized guy but the 19 Gen 5 guns with no finger grooves fit my hand pretty well. I have been shooting this one a lot and really love the Gen 5 upgrades and accuracy. I was going to throw a RMR on it, but got frustrated with all the stories about plates, and plates/sights coming loose.
Then I heard that Holosun was going to make a direct fit MOS sight so I held off. Well it came today and it looks and fits great. There is zero play in the fit and the regular sights are fully visible. The window is smaller that my 508t's but is more than big enough for the intended purpose. I did not think to weigh the sight, but it seems to weigh about the same as the factory Glock filler plate.
The sight went on with zero drama and was perfectly aligned to my iron sights from the box. They state that it is zero'd from the factory for 25 yards and mine looks close. Of course I will go and shoot is to confirm before I begin to use it seriously.
Anyways, no I need some desert time to confirm zero and do some shooting. I will post an update once I get some rounds on it. Here are some pictures of the sight, what's in the box, and mounted on the pistol.
