barrel turned from an octagonal blank. stock carved from a walnut blank.lock assembled from castings from rifle shop, ended up making my own springs

the next one I am attempting to make the lock from scratch

Can you make or replicate revolver parts?

Savage & North .36 two mainsprings (on left, compared to a regular BP revolver mainspring).

I would love to see that shoot! A member of our range has several matchlocks and he shoots them every year at our Mother's Day shoot. Your snaphaunce would fit right in! Excellent work there. Thanks for sharing.

sorry about the delay on the range report.
went out on monday due to mechanical issues on my truck
but the pistol shot beautifly one of the fastest locks I have ever made. and not one misfire

also reasonably accurate 5" group from 15 yards

the downside, due to its light weight it has some pretty snappy recoil with 25 gr of 3f and a .490 patched round ball

    pics will be up soon
